What is digital accessibility

An accessible website is a site that enables all users to access its content without difficulty, including people with disabilities utilising specialised software or equipment.

For example, an accessible website enables users to:

  • Navigate with speech synthesis or braille displays (notably for people who are blind or visually impaired)

  • Tailor the website’s display to specific requirements (enlarging characters, changing colours and contrasts etc.)

  • Navigate without using a mouse (i.e. just with the keyboard or using a touch screen)

In order to be and remain accessible, the website must meet strict standards both when it is originally designed and each time it is updated.

Assystem’s commitment to accessibility and helping people with disabilities

We firmly believe that diversity and difference play a key role in our success and we have been committed for many years now to providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

In line with this and as part of our overall objective of being a good corporate citizen, we have made the accessibility of our recruitment website one of our main priorities. In so doing our aim is for all web users to be able to access all of the Website’s content, irrespective of any disability they may have or the equipment they use.

The Website was developed taking into account international recommendations on accessibility. In particular it includes a button to change contrasts and colours and the possibility for keyboard-only navigation (using the tab key), enlarging characters via the user’s browser and clicking on the main logo to return to the Website’s home page, as well as a “go to content” link for keyboard users and video subtitles.
