Assystem is the second largest Nuclear Engineering organisation and provides technical engineering support across the world, supporting complex Nuclear New Build, Decommissioning and Defence programmes.
It is a fantastic time to join the industry. Nuclear in the UK, is seeing a recent renaissance with the UK government pledging it’s support for both large and small-scale nuclear energy projects.
We are currently looking for two Graduate Project Manager's, one in Warrington, the other in West Lakes, to go through our rigorous Graduate Programme. The successful person will work closely with your dedicated line manager, who will review and manage your technical performance & development throughout your assignment.
Assystem provides our customers will all aspects of the Project Management Office, from cost engineering through to programme management, of simple and complex projects.
During the programme the role holder will be taught to support and lead engineering projects from within the project management office team. There will be training, development and learning opportunities provided from stakeholders throughout the business and mentoring provided from business leaders.
Main responsibilities will include.
· Development of project execution strategies
· Development of procurement/acquisition strategies
· Project monitoring and progress reporting
· Schedule development and management
· Sub-contract management/contract administration of supply chain organisations
· Management of risks and opportunities
· Support governance reviews and audits
· Supporting Project Management activities across various clients

About the programme?
Delivering projects within the scheduled time-frames and budgeted costs requires a significant level of competence and skill. The Assystem graduate programme will provide you the tools and experience that will set you on the path to becoming a project delivery professional. Over the course of the programme you will be developed through placements on real projects with different customers, specific assigned tasks, and formal qualifications. Throughout the programme you will be provided with a professional mentor to support you on your journey.

Successful applicants will have specialized in Engineering Project Management and who are either completing the MSc in Engineering Project Management in 2022 or already hold the qualification.
Candidates will operate in project teams or with key stakeholder and so it is vital to be able to know how to build strong relationship with internally and within our customer base.
