Assystem’s Nuclear Division has recently been awarded several design contracts, and as a result are expanding their team in Somerset. As such, we now have an opening for a Process Engineer (HVAC) to support the HVAC and Effluent Treatment System Groups in Bristol.
Contribute to the strategy for the initialisation of the SZC component/equipment database based on that already developed for HPC ensuring the requirements are well represented.
Contribute to the strategy for the initialisation of the SZC I&C logic diagrams based on that already developed for HPC ensuring the requirements are well represented.
Perform a risk analysis for systems based on the interfaces with the Conventional Island and Balance of Plant systems.
Perform an HVAC margin assessment based on the SZC site data to understand the impact on the margins currently in the HPC design for HVAC systems.
Engage in configuration management for SZC with identifying and specifying changes due to the studies above.
The role will require significant interaction with other teams in the UK and France.
Essential Experience / Qualifications:
HNC / HND or equivalent (in Mechanical, Process, Electrical Eng etc)
Nuclear experience (ideally on Hinkley Point sites)
System Design experience
Knowledge of HVAC / Fluid systems
3D Viewer, DFD (beneficial)
**Security Clearance is required**
