Job Description

Assystem are recruiting for an experienced Project Analyst to support our customers projects in Derby on a contract basis. 

We are looking for someone to hit the ground running and take control of small to medium sized projects and support on large projects/portfolios across site.


Role Details: 

Job title: Project Analyst   

Location: Derby  

Hours: 37 hours per week with flexible hours 

Duration: December 2022    

Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella – Inside IR35


  • Support the technical, project and programme management teams with timely metrics and project reports, as required to allow control of the project to be maintained.
  • Manage work packages and projects to schedule and cost in line with commitments to the business and customer.
  • Implementation of Programme Change Controls to manage internal and external baseline commitments with respect to schedule, cost and scope.
  • Launching work with internal and external suppliers into the project.
  • Support the Project Lead and Project Manager with key project management processes on large / more complex projects.
  • Support the Project Lead and Project Manager with financial management.
  • Assist management of internal programme delivery, including management of deliverables.
  • Responsible for the production of all bid and estimating documentation required to ensure that a compliant and timely response is issued for the scope.
  • Risk facilitation and risk log maintenance through engagement of key stakeholders to keep a live update (actively used to manage risk).
  • Assist in developing project requirements, Statement of Work & Basis of Estimate documents to support bid activities where required.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent Continuous Professional Development.
  • Awareness of and practical experience using project management theory in the real world.
  • APM Practitioner qualification or working towards gaining it.
  • Experience with using SAP and expertise with MS Excel.
  • Experience of managing project finances and Forecast Cost at Completion.
  • Desire to work increasingly independently of direct supervision and using personal judgement to deliver your responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly (oral and written) with customers and suppliers
  • Established presentation skills
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Tenacity and ability to manage conflict.
