Job Description

Assystem’s Nuclear division has recently been awarded several design contracts due to company expansion. As such we now have an opportunity for a Steel Structure and Analysis Engineer to work with us on the HPC project.

In the framework of the HPC project, EDVANCE provide a support to EDF Energy on site for the construction of the 2 units planned in Hinkley Point. For the objective, a branch has been created on site attached to EDVANCE UK in order to provide this service: this branch is called Site Design Liaison Team (SDLT).

As a Steel Structure and Analysis Engineer, responsibilities will include producing steel structure drawings in 3D, modification of design due to construction method, non-conformance, clarification of design documents, or modification due to building requirements. The main objective of the Site Design Liaison Team (SDLT) is to manage, in timely manner, design issues linked to construction constrains, taking into account the substantiation of the design to the end.


·       HNC / HND or equivalent

·       Structural Analysis (Steel) background

·       TEKLA Software Package (or Bocad)

·       Knowledge of Nuclear Civil Design, Building Construction
