Description du Poste

Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a Technical Manufacturing Engineer to join on a 12-month contract in Derby.

Role details:

Contract: 12 months
Hours: 37 hours minimum
 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing Methods of Manufacture and Engineering Process to realise part designs and ensure design intent is met.
  • Supporting the generation of technical packages for the shop floor for the manufacture of parts. Including creating/reviewing; technical instructions, Production Routers, method verification and fixed process assessments.
  • Use of Build in Quality tools such as Process Maps, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEAs), and Control Plans.
  • Verify design intent has been met by creating/reviewing FAIR’s (First Article Inspection reports).
  • Day to day planning of projects in line with deliverables.
  • Liaison with other departments such as operations, design, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing to ensure delivery of parts to set timescales and targeted costs.

Profil

Qualifications and experience required to apply for the role:

  • As a manufacturing engineer you will need to be a professionally qualified Engineer (UK minimum HND/foundation degree or another national equivalent).
  • UK IEng (Incorporated Engineer) or CEng (Chartered Engineer) or another national equivalent is desirable.
  • Possessing general understanding of lean manufacturing and quality processes relevant to the business and their role in the product lifecycle.
  • Possessing general awareness of Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, CAPP, Manufacturing Execution System, Manufacturing Intelligence, SAP, Technical Publications, etc.) relevant to the business.
  • Have excellent communications skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
