Description du Poste

Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for an experienced Planner to join on an initial 6-month contract 

A Planner is responsible for all planning and scheduling related activity within Delivery Business Units and across a number of key programmes, this includes but is not limited to; Management of the end-to-end planning process, planning system architecture and associated planning resource to ensure than an effective planning environment is created and maintained. Required to provide expert advice on planning matters throughout the DBU/Programmes and maintenance of a standardised and disciplined approach to a project.

Hours: 37 hours + per week (flexible start and finish times) 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Actively facilitate development and ensure the on-going maintenance of the programme schedule (Integrated Milestone Plan and Integrated Master Schedule).
  • Ensure that the scope of work being planned is fully logic linked with the wider work scope, undertake tracking and maintain dependencies, identifying and reporting deviations and triggering exception reports as appropriate.
  • Collect programme status information to maintain and update schedules and issue management information as required. This will require schedule variance analysis, identification of schedule risks, issues and opportunities together with Critical Path Analysis.
  • Update progress against the schedule and reforecast as required. Deliver status reports in a timely manner including but not limited to milestone slippage, critical path analysis, resource demand/availability.
  • Use of Earned Value Management techniques is also required.
  • Load and Capacity - Maintain and update resource schedules (at team level), advising on resource clashes and potential issues. This includes obtaining commitment from Resource Managers and suppliers.
  • Integrate risk and schedule by developing schedules that include activities, time and resource estimates for risk mitigation.
  • Provide planning standards and process support and guidance to the project team.

Profil

Qualifications and experience required to apply for the role: 

  • Experience of working in an Integrated Project Team environment ideally gained within the engineering/manufacturing sector
  • Working towards a related professional qualification (APM) or entry level qualification (HND or Foundation Degree)
  • Experience of developing schedules of work involving multiple projects using Primavera P6
  • Demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude to deliver on promises and commitments
  • Adapt to changes in the working environment, managing competing demands to make the best use of time and resources
  • Ability to deliver accurate work within service level agreements and use initiative to work through issues and barriers
  • Experience of managing several tasks simultaneously, prioritising activity to meet deadlines 
     

 **MOD Security clearance is required to a minimum of SC level to be considered for this role**
